We are a support group dedicated to fibromyalgia sufferers in Cork City and County.
We also receive enquiries from outside Cork, as we are the only active fibromyalgia
support group in the Republic of Ireland.
We hold monthly meetings on the second Monday of each month except July and August.
We provide support and information for people with this difficult pain and fatigue
condition. We are a totally voluntary group and understand the needs of those with the

Birth preparation classes for women and their partners, based on 'birthing from within' and are held from Bridget's home near Baltimore. They are run on a demand basis, and include 'refresher' classes too.
Aquanatal classes by arrangement with a leisure centre on a demand basis - antenatal and postnatal women (baby's at the poolside) following an unique exercise programme in water that allows the flexible and gentle 'work-out' for women to be supported by the water. The session usually ends with relaxation using floats. Incorporated into the class is the promotion of positive approach to birth, the recovery from birth and mothering.
Bridget initiated and facilitates a postnatal group in Skibbereen called 'BabyTalk' where women learn from women, make friends and are introduced to babymassage and varying approaches to babycare and much much more! This is free.
Bridget is also a home birth midwife, contracted by the HSE Southern to attend women choosing homebirth, and books women in her local area, covering a radius of about an hour's drive from her home in Baltimore. This is also a free service for women expected to have a straightforward pregnancy and birth. The routine antenatal appointments are conducted by me at my clinic or your home (scans and hospital appointments are attended as usual as the mother wishes) . After the birth, postnatal visits are conducted by her at your home to ensure that the mother is recovering well and the baby is thriving.
